19 Sep 2022International Cancer Conference says Healthy lifestyle can keep cancer at bay. This opinion of medical experts was given at a seminar on cancer organized for general practitioners as part of MVR CANCON. The conference assessed that cancer can be fought by avoiding tobacco, alcohol and other intoxicating substances and regular exercise. Doctors Ajmal, Dr. Shafeek, Dr. Nirmal and others spoke during the event.
About HIPEC treatment – an innovative treatment method in the field of cancer treatment, its complications, intensive care required after surgery was discussed in detail. Dr. Dilip Damodaran, surgeon of MVR Cancer Center, led the discussion. Kozhikode Medical College Superintendent and Surgeon Professor Sreejayan, MVR Cancer Center Head of Intensive Care Department Dr. Deepa Chandramohan and others spoke.
Each person’s cancer is different. Professor Ibru Kosakinova said that there is no similarity intheir treatment. This opinion of Professor Ibru Kosakisova from Turkey is talking about precision oncology which brings revolutionary changes in the field of cancer treatment. Precision oncology is about understanding the subtle indices of cancer and targeting it. She added that this treatment not only eradicates the cancer but also effectively reduces the side effects.
The 3 Day International Cancer Conference hosted by MVR Cancer Center concluded. MVR Cancer Center Chairman Vijayakrishanan, Medical Director Dr. Narayanan Kutty Warrier, Doctors Prashanth Parameswaran, Deepak Damodaran, Shamsuddeen etc. led the conference.

The Visionary
Respectfully called MVR, the late MV Raghavan was one of the revolutionary leaders of the Communist movement in Kerala. Born in an ordinary family in Pappinissery, Kannur, his political life began in his early teens. He served two terms as Minister of Co-operation and Ports in Kerala during 1991-1996 and 2001-2006. MVR revolutionized the co-operative sector by taking the people-powered movement to healthcare and education in the State. MV Raghavan realized the role of the co-operative movement in social development and job creation and he was instrumental in setting up various institutions in the state.
