Work Experience
Dr. K S Vijayagopal is serving as a Senior consultant in the Department of Radiation Oncology, where he holds the esteemed position of Head of the department. In this role, he provides leadership and oversees the operations of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality radiation oncology services.
He completed his MBBS from Govt Medical College, Thrissur, Kerala/University of Calicut in 1993, and subsequently pursued his MD in Radiation Oncology at Christian Medical College, Vellore, which he obtained in 2005. This educational foundation has equipped him with a deep understanding of the field and a strong foundation for his career.
With a remarkable experience spanning over 27 years, Dr. Vijayagopal has developed expertise in various areas of oncology. His primary interests lie in head and neck and neuro-oncology, where he specializes in diagnosing and treating cancers affecting these regions of the body. Additionally, he has a keen focus on breast and thoracic oncology, dealing with cancers of the breast and chest.
