Dr. Prasanth Parameswaran, a distinguished Senior Consultant in Medical Oncology & Hemato Oncology, boasts a robust academic background and a wealth of professional experience. His journey began with an MBBS from Govt. Medical College, Nagpur, culminating in a DM and DNB in Medical Oncology from the Regional Cancer Institute in Adyar, Chennai. Further enhancing his expertise, he pursued a Fellowship in Hemato Oncology at the University of Giessen, Germany. Dr. Prasanth’s commitment to healthcare excellence is exemplified by his roles as a Senior Consultant at MVR Cancer Centre & Research Institute since 2017 and prior positions as a Consultant at Aster MIMS Hospital. His clinical interests span Haemat-Oncology, including lymphomas, leukemia, and myelomas, alongside a focus on solid tumors such as Breast, Lung, and Gastrointestinal tumors.
In addition to his clinical proficiency, Dr. Prasanth’seducational journey includes a DNB in General Medicine from Govt. Medical College, Thrissur. His dedicated service commenced as a Junior Resident in Internal Medicine at Government Medical College, Thrissur, followed by roles as a Senior Resident in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology at esteemed institutions. Dr. Prasanth Parameswaran’s two decades of comprehensive education and diverse professional roles reflect his unwavering dedication to advancing medical knowledge and delivering high-quality patient care in the ever-evolving landscape of oncology.
Respectfully called MVR, the late MV Raghavan was one of the revolutionary leaders of the Communist movement in Kerala. Born in an ordinary family in Pappinissery, Kannur, his political life began in his early teens. He served two terms as Minister of Co-operation and Ports in Kerala during 1991-1996 and 2001-2006. MVR revolutionized the co-operative sector by taking the people-powered movement to healthcare and education in the State. MV Raghavan realized the role of the co-operative movement in social development and job creation and he was instrumental in setting up various institutions in the state.
