    Dr. Yamini Krishnan is a distinguished medical professional who currently heads the Paediatric Hematology Oncology and BMT unit at MVR Cancer Centre and Research Institute. Her clinical interests lie in the field of paediatric hematological malignancies, solid tumours, and bone marrow transplantation.

    Work Experience

    She completed her MBBS from Kerala University, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala in 1998 and then went on to pursue a Diploma in Child Health from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala in 2001, followed by an MD in Paediatrics from the same university in 2002. In 2005, she obtained her DM in Medical Oncology from Dr MGR Medical University,Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

    Dr. Yamini Krishnan's passion for improving her skills and knowledge in the field of oncology took her to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Tennessee, United States, where she completed an Outreach Fellowship under the guidance of Dr Carlos Rodrigous Galindo in 2008.

    Dr. Yamini Krishnan's impressive educational background and extensive experience in the field of paediatric hematology oncology and bone marrow transplantation make her an invaluable asset to the medical community. She joined MVR Cancer Centre and Research Institute in 2017 and is originally from Ernakulam, Kerala.

    MV RAGHAVAN

    The Visionary

    Respectfully called MVR, the late MV Raghavan was one of the revolutionary leaders of the Communist movement in Kerala. Born in an ordinary family in Pappinissery, Kannur, his political life began in his early teens. He served two terms as Minister of Co-operation and Ports in Kerala during 1991-1996 and 2001-2006. MVR revolutionized the co-operative sector by taking the people-powered movement to healthcare and education in the State. MV Raghavan realized the role of the co-operative movement in social development and job creation and he was instrumental in setting up various institutions in the state.
